Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps carried out an interaction with veterans from all stations of Vajra Corps. The aim of the interaction was to interact with the veterans in the Corps Zone and reaffirm the commitment of the organisation towards veterans welfare. The interaction was carried out at Jalandhar Cantt and approx 160 veterans from all stations of Corps viz, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana, Kapurthala, Beas, Bhogpur and Hoshiarpur attended the event. The General officer mentioned that the Vajra Corps widely known as the ‘Defenders of Punjab’ has a rich and a glorious legacy and addressing the veterans he paid rich tributes to the brave sons of the soil for their selfless service and supreme sacrifice for the safety and security of the nation. He lauded their contribution in Nation building and for their stellar contribution while in service. He assured the veterans that their concerns are being holistically addressed at all levels and it is the sacred duty of the organization to provide them their dues in a time bound manner. He further conveyed that the welfare, safety and honour of the families of Battle and Physical casualties and veer naris of our brethren remains our prime concern and the same is being ensured through the outreach teams of the formations and units of Vajra Corps, spread all across Punjab & parts of Himachal Pradesh. The veterans interacted one to one with Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma and expressed their gratitude towards Vajra Corps for providing them the opportunity to interact and express their concerns in an informal manner.
